Warranty Service Center for:

This is a list of some of the companies that I am a Service Center for (I will be updating as time allows). If you have an instrument built by one of the companies listed here and you are the original owner, then, if there is any warranty work that needs to be done, it can be performed by Bay Fretted Instrument, regardless of where you purchased the instrument, be it online or at the local store as long as you are the original owner. Please read your warranty to understand what is covered under your warranty and what is not. For a better understanding of your warranty, please refer to the Warranty Repairs page in the Articles section. Different companies cover different things with their warranty and for how long it is covered. After reading your warranty card, if you have any questions, please contact me about your concerns and I will be happy to answer and clarify them. Also, if there is a warranty card with your instrument when purchased, it would be wise to take the time to fill it out and send in to the company. Although not a necessity as long as you have the sales slip to prove ownership, with some companies, it does make sure you have proven to them that you are the original owner and won't have to worry about this in the future. The logos below are linked to the company webpage for their warranty policy. There are a couple of companies, such as EVH, that do not have a warranty page on the site yet.

Update: As of January 1, 2010, I am no longer doing warranty work for many of the companies that I had previously been doing service for. At this time, Martin Guitar Company and Taylor Guitars are the only companies that I am still doing warranty service for. Reasons are many and has more to do with company policy changes and the way the companies are conducting business than it is anything else. Unfortunately with the changes that the companies are making concerning warranty, the customer is not number one any more and the dollar has all the power with them now so it seems. I do feel bad about all the great people that I have met and had business relations with, in these companies, as they are great people to know and deal with. It's the bean counters (those little devils behind the scene) that have taken over and control things. The customer is not top priority anymore. Too bad it has to be this way, but with the way the economy is, it was bound to get to this.

If you have an instrument that I used to do warranty work for that company and would like a recommendation on where to bring it, please feel free to contact me and I will gladly help as to recommend a service center that will be able to help you. Again, my apologies for any inconvenience that this has caused.
